- How does deployment work?
- Mapping of sensitive data, definition of keys and permissions, a pilot on sample data, a bounded migration and training. The offering is in development: the vault opens to real data after an independent review of the encryption and validation of the restore process. The quote specifies the timeline and acceptance criteria.
- What is the difference between Drive and Vault?
- Drive is for collaborating, collecting documents and using authorised server-side processing. The Vault architecture encrypts documents on devices with the organisation’s keys. Vault content stays out of server-side AI, OCR, content search and antivirus processing.
- How can third-party access to content be reduced?
- The vault model relies on keys controlled by the organisation, client-side encryption and a separate recovery procedure. It reduces the provider’s technical access to stored content. Applicable law, metadata and device security remain constraints to be addressed.
- How do you protect documents from AI tools?
- The specification rules out using documents to train models and any unauthorised AI processing. Vault stays outside server-side AI. For Drive, connectors, permissions and exports are controlled; controlling copies to personal tools is handled through the client’s managed workstations and browsers.
